Friendship with God

I watched this some time ago and recently came across it again. It just sits so well in my heart that I wanted to share it. So here is the you tube link below. It's a 10 minute clip, but well worth a listen (and a re-listen... and a re-listen..)

For me, the revelation that is contained here is so close to me heart because I have seen the result of well meaning brothers and sisters getting chewed-up and spat-out by a system of religion that is so foreign to the New Covenant, it has often left me just shaking my head in confounded wonder as to how we, and the vast majority of the Church, have been so tricked into a works based religion as opposed to a Love based relationship with ABBA.
Of course the answer to that pondering is that we were lured and enticed away from the ROCK, the Good News of Gods love to us, revealed in the reconciliation of Calvery - and led to a feast of SAND (Sand is made of rock, but is broken down and lost its original identity.)

So satan's plan is to get us to feed ourselves and others on "truth", but its truth that is missing the vital connection to Jesus as its foundation. When we do this, we are building upon sand, and time will reveal a fading glory - guaranteed!!!!
Any Good works that are separate from, and not fueled from communion with the Head - Jesus - is a dead work.
When we get stuck on focusing and teaching on things that Jesus and the Apostles NEVER specifically majored on, we can be sure that the symbol-clanging sound of our works falling to the ground, will be the "off-melody" of satans celebration.

Father did it all - reconciled us and empowered us, for ONE reason..... because of His great LOVE for us.

He Loves us all so much!!

  1. Hey Bro

I agree- excellent video and message. This is so true. I love what he has to say about the Bible and how we can reference it, without referencing the Spirit who gives life to it. So many times I have been 'bible-bashed' and even accused of not 'knowing enough' about the scripture to have a full revealtion of 'truth'

When we live in communion with God (a relationship of deep intimate love), that flows out into evry other area and is so obvious. This brings Life!

    he says
"Its difficult to expect the same fruits of the early church when we value a book they didnt have more than the Holy Spirit they did have"

We can memorise and quote the Bible all we want, but if we don't live in the Spirit, what's the point?!?

Miracles are the fruit of intimacy, not correct theology. I'm not saying that theology isn't important, just that there is so much more. Better to be in love with Jesus and grow in our theology than believe we know so much about Him, but don't actually know Him.

Every day, I am learning more and more to stop majoring on doctrine and theology and falling more in love with Jesus.

Keep well and keep the posts coming
    Dan

  2. I would go so far as to say that the bible was never given to us, as a tool to use to have a relationship with the Father. In actual fact there is no scriptural evidence that the bible is even called the "Word of God". What the Prophets spoke were the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh, through whom we have fellowship with the Father. The Holy Spirit gives us the means to live in Christ who is the Word of God.

Against all popular believe the bible “being inspired by the Holy Spirit”, does not mean the same thing as the “Word of God”. Therefore it is not meant to be our source of having a relationship with the Father. Jesus - the WORD of God is our means in the Holy Spirit to have a relationship with the Father. Our relationship is real, active, and loving much more than what a book can provide.

In that case, what is the use of the bible/scriptures? It is clearly stated by Paul; it is to test our beliefs and our heart, whether we are truly being lead by the Holy Spirit or not.

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
2Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Scripture is to be used to cut out the cancer of deception, but I don’t read any thing about having a relationship with the Father through Scriptures, do you?
